Weekly Meal Plan 1/9/12-1/15/12

Last week’s meal plan didn’t quite go as expected. We decided midday Wednesday that we would not go to Moscow and wait until the weekend so there would be a little more time. It was probably a good idea as we had not decided what we were going to do with our little Giacomo (Jack for short). In our excitement about getting out of town for a day we didn’t have any idea what to do with our dog. So, we decided to leave on Saturday, stay overnight, and come back on Sunday. The day before we left (Friday), I went out and left Giacomo at my inlaw’s house to play with the other doggies for the weekend. He loved it, as usual.

It also gave the boys time to play with some friends who live out that way, so it was a great trip for multiple reasons. Now, I just have to figure out how Giacomo is getting back, as I don’t feel like driving back out there.

Additionally, we are tired of “eating out” food. We found we eat bigger and less healthy foods when we aren’t at home. I had brought a few things, but they were quickly gone, so we resorted to other stuff that wasn’t as healthy. It will be nice to have our “old” comfy foods again.

I don’t really have a baking list for the week. I may have to make a loaf of Spelt Bread and I may make some Oatmeal Raisin cookies, but I am going to take it easy this week on baking. I have a new swim class I am taking on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and I have to tutor on Tutor.com Wednesday afternoon. So, my week is pretty full along with posting a bit more this week.

Now, time to go find a bathing suit as I haven’t bought one for…oh…6 years, maybe?

What yummy meals do you all have planned for the week?
